Performance Metric: Total Views
Overview: Tracks when a learner views a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey
Additional Details: A learner must visit a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey overview page to generate a view event. When learners view a piece of content multiple times, view events are throttled per minute.

Performance Metric: Total Unique Card Views
Overview: Tracks when a learner views a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey for the first time
Additional Details: A learner must visit a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey overview page to generate a view event. Unlike "Total Views", this only tracks a learner’s first view on all content. Comparing "Total Views" VS "Total Unique Views" provides a sense of repeat usage and ongoing engagement.

Performance Metric: Total Content Source Visits
Overview: Tracks when a learner visits external content associated with a SmartCard
Additional Details: A learner must click the "View More" link on a SmartCard overview page to generate a source visit event. Certain types of SmartCards, such as text or poll, do not contain an external content source, so these will not generate source visits

Performance Metric: Total Completions
Overview: Tracks when a learner completes a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey
Additional Details: Completion events are generated when learners click the "Mark as Complete" button and when integrated content providers send completion data directly to the LXP or via EdCast LRS. If a learner marks content as uncomplete at a later date, this will remove the original completion from being considered within the "Total Completions" Performance Metric.

Performance Metric: Total Bookmarks
Overview: Tracks when a learner bookmarks content
Additional Details: Bookmark events are generated each time a learner clicks the bookmark icon on a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey.

Performance Metric: Current Bookmarks
Overview: Tracks when a learner’s bookmark is still active
Additional Details: When a learner removes a bookmark from their list, it will no longer be considered within the "Current Bookmarks" Performance Metric. Comparing "Total Bookmarks" VS "Current Bookmarks" provides a sense of bookmark utilization. A learner’s bookmark list may be less effective if they have accumulated a high number of bookmarks that have never been viewed or completed.

Overview: Tracks when a learner publishes a new SmartCard
Additional Details: When a learner creates a SmartCard, it will be published immediately. If user generated content is deleted, it will still be considered within this Performance Metric, however, the "Content Status" field will update to "Archived" or "Deleted".

Performance Metric: Total Published Pathways
Overview: Tracks when a learner publishes a new Pathway
Additional Details: When a learner create a Pathway, they can either publish it immediately or save it in draft mode until ready for consumption. If saved in draft mode, the publication event will be generated once they click "Publish". If user generated content is deleted, it will still be considered within this Performance Metric, however, the "Content Status" field will update to "Archived" or "Deleted".

Performance Metric: Total Published Journeys
Overview: Tracks when a learner publishes a new Journey
Additional Details: When a learner create a Journey, they can either publish it immediately or save it in draft mode until ready for consumption. If saved in draft mode, the publication event will be generated once they click "Publish". If user generated content is deleted, it will still be considered within this Performance Metric, however, the "Content Status" field will update to "Archived" or "Deleted".

Overview: Tracks when a learner likes a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey
Additional Details: If a learner removes their like on a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey, it will no longer be considered within the "Current Likes" Performance Metric.

Performance Metric: Total Comments
Overview: Tracks when a learner posts a comment on a SmartCard, Pathway, or Journey
Additional Details: If a learner deletes their comment, it will still be considered within the "Total Comments" Performance Metric, however, the "Comment Status" field will be updated to "Deleted" rather than "Active".

Performance Metric: Total Shares to Direct Users
Overview: Tracks when a learner shares content with an individual user
Additional Details: Learners can share content to other users directly by clicking "Share" and selecting specific names, or they can tag users in a content comment using "@name".

Performance Metric: Total Shares to Groups
Overview: Tracks when a learner shares content with a group
Additional Details: Learners can share content to groups by clicking "Share" and selecting specific group names.

Performance Metric: Following (Users)
Overview: Tracks when a learner follows another user
Additional Details: If a user stops following another user, they will no longer be considered within the "Following (Users)" Performance Metric. This Performance Metric may be more applicable than "Followers (Users)" when it relates to adoption of the Follow feature, as some users may have accumulated followers but have yet to follow anyone themselves.

Performance Metric: Followers (Users)
Overview: Tracks when a learner is followed by another user
Additional Details: If a user stops following another user, they will no longer be considered within the "Followers (Users)" Performance Metric. This Performance Metric may be more applicable than "Following (Users)" when it relates to Rewards & Recognition campaigns, as it is harder to accumulate followers than it is to follow other users.

Additional Details: A learner must view the channel page to generate a view event. Unlike "Total Visits", this only tracks a learner's first visit on all channels. Comparing "Total Visits" VS "Total Distinct User Visits" provides a sense of repeat usage and ongoing engagement.

Performance Metric: Current Followers
Overview: Tracks when a learner is following a Channel
Additional Details: If a user stops following a channel, they will no longer be considered within the "Current Followers" Performance Metric for that channel. If a channel is shared to a group, all group members will be added as "Current Followers", even if some have yet to sign in.
